{"id":138098,"date":"2025-11-25T19:52:00","date_gmt":"2025-11-25T19:52:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bae\/?p=138098"},"modified":"2025-12-08T09:02:12","modified_gmt":"2025-12-08T09:02:12","slug":"practitioners-lecture-for-organic-agriculture-course-highlights-the-role-of-organic-fertilizers-and-hrrd-community-initiatives","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bae\/practitioners-lecture-for-organic-agriculture-course-highlights-the-role-of-organic-fertilizers-and-hrrd-community-initiatives\/","title":{"rendered":"Practitioners Lecture for Organic Agriculture Course Highlights the Role of Organic Fertilizers and HRRD Community Initiatives"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"731\"><strong data-start=\"404\" data-end=\"434\">Bengkulu, 25 November 2025<\/strong> \u2014 The <strong data-start=\"441\" data-end=\"464\">Organic Agriculture<\/strong> course under the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, <strong data-start=\"539\" data-end=\"572\">University of Bengkulu (UNIB)<\/strong>, successfully held a <strong data-start=\"594\" data-end=\"619\">Practitioners Lecture<\/strong> featuring <strong data-start=\"630\" data-end=\"649\">Revo TS Guntoro<\/strong>, an agricultural practitioner actively working in the field of organic farming.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"733\" data-end=\"1091\">During this session, Mr. Revo delivered material on the <strong data-start=\"789\" data-end=\"850\">importance of organic fertilizers in agricultural systems<\/strong> and provided insights into the <strong data-start=\"882\" data-end=\"950\">processes involved in producing high-quality organic fertilizers<\/strong>. His explanations emphasized how organic amendments contribute to soil health, crop productivity, and long-term agricultural sustainability.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"1093\" data-end=\"1096\">\n<h2 data-start=\"1098\" data-end=\"1151\">Introducing HRRD: Humus Rejang Rekayasa D\u2019Compos<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1153\" data-end=\"1468\">In addition to discussing organic agriculture, Mr. Revo introduced one of his ongoing initiatives, <strong data-start=\"1252\" data-end=\"1293\">HRRD (Humus Rejang Rekayasa D\u2019Compos)<\/strong>\u2014a community movement focused on environmental sustainability. This community is dedicated to developing organic agriculture, primarily through <strong data-start=\"1437\" data-end=\"1467\">organic compost production<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1470\" data-end=\"1809\">HRRD utilizes a wide range of organic materials, including livestock manure, cocopeat, coffee husks, rice bran, and discarded vegetables\u2014often obtained when market prices drop significantly. These materials are processed using beneficial microorganisms to create organic fertilizers that are both high quality and environmentally friendly.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1811\" data-end=\"1905\">Mr. Revo also explained several key activities conducted within the HRRD community, such as:<\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"2105\">\n<li data-start=\"1906\" data-end=\"1941\">\n<p data-start=\"1908\" data-end=\"1941\">Production of <strong data-start=\"1922\" data-end=\"1939\">solid compost<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1942\" data-end=\"1995\">\n<p data-start=\"1944\" data-end=\"1995\">Production of <strong data-start=\"1958\" data-end=\"1993\">liquid organic fertilizer (LOF)<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1996\" data-end=\"2105\">\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"1998\" data-end=\"2105\">Opportunities for <strong data-start=\"2016\" data-end=\"2067\">student internships and research collaborations<\/strong> in the field of organic agriculture<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"2107\" data-end=\"2263\">This openness positions HRRD as a real-world learning hub for Agroecotechnology students who want to gain practical experience in sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2265\" data-end=\"2268\">\n<h2 data-start=\"2270\" data-end=\"2332\">Highly Interactive and Enthusiastic Student Participation<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"2334\" data-end=\"2714\">The lecture proceeded in a lively and engaging atmosphere. Although the class consisted of approximately <strong data-start=\"2439\" data-end=\"2454\">34 students<\/strong>, almost every participant actively joined the discussion. The question-and-answer session grew increasingly dynamic as students explored deeper topics related to organic fertilizer production, environmental sustainability, and potential research applications.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"2716\" data-end=\"2936\">The session closed with positive feedback from students, who expressed that the practitioner lecture broadened their understanding of organic farming and inspired them to explore opportunities in sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n<hr data-start=\"2938\" data-end=\"2941\">\n<h2 data-start=\"2943\" data-end=\"3005\">Strengthening Practical Competence in Organic Agriculture<\/h2>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\" data-start=\"3007\" data-end=\"3423\">The Practitioner Lecture series continues to be an important component of the Agroecotechnology curriculum, bridging theory and practice while enriching students\u2019 knowledge of sustainable agricultural innovations.
