Bengkulu, 2026<\/strong> \u2014 Two students from the Agroecotechnology Study Program<\/strong>, Department of Crop Production, University of Bengkulu (UNIB)<\/strong>, have been selected to participate in an international research internship in organic agriculture<\/strong> in Bangkok, Thailand.<\/p>\n

The students, Irvani (E1J023052)<\/strong> and Gideon Palarenius Lumban Batu (E1J023033)<\/strong>, will undergo a three-month internship from March to July 2026<\/strong>, focusing on research training in organic agriculture innovation<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

\n

Strengthening International Research Experience<\/h2>\n

The internship is hosted by the Research Institute of Modern Organic Agriculture<\/strong> and supervised by Prof. Kasem Soytong<\/strong> and Dr. Jiaojiao Song<\/strong>. During the program, the students will engage in both laboratory and field-based research activities<\/strong>, supported by facilities and funding from the Association of Agricultural Technology in Southeast Asia<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

This program is part of an international collaboration designed to strengthen students\u2019 competencies in modern organic agriculture<\/strong>, while expanding their exposure to global research environments.<\/p>\n

\n

Integrating Research into Academic Achievement<\/h2>\n

The outcomes of the internship will be directly integrated into the students\u2019 academic journey. Both participants are expected to develop their undergraduate theses<\/strong> based on the research conducted during the program, under the supervision of lecturers from the Department of Crop Production at UNIB.<\/p>\n

This initiative reflects the commitment of the Agroecotechnology Study Program<\/strong> to combine international research experience with academic completion<\/strong>, preparing students to become competitive graduates in the field of sustainable agriculture.<\/p>\n
