On Wednesday, November 29, 2023, Occupational Health and Safety Training and the Use of Laboratory Equipment will be held. The activity was carried out at 09.30 to 16.00 in the Bioindustry room of the Agricultural Technology Laboratory, University of Bengkulu. The activity was attended by 30 students of the Department of Agricultural Technology who will conduct research at the Agricultural Technology Laboratory of Bengkulu University.<\/p>\n\n\n

The activity began with remarks by the head of the Agricultural Technology Laboratory, Ir. Laili Susanti, M.Si. and was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Drs. Syafnil, M.Si. After the opening, the activity was immediately continued with occupational health and safety material delivered by Evanila Silvia, S.T.P., M.Si. On the occasion, the speaker conveyed the importance of existing rules in the laboratory and safety when conducting research. The next material on the use of laboratory equipment was delivered by Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc. and Arina Fatharani, S.T.P., M.Sc. on the occasion given by the speakers emphasized the rules and how to read the results of several tests with laboratory equipment. After the material is completed, a break is carried out before entering other activities and materials.<\/p>\n

The activity resumed at 13.00 with material on security and safety in conducting research including the use and understanding of signs on chemicals in the laboratory, the material was delivered by Dra. Devi Silsia, M.Si. after the material activity was completed, the activity continued to the last material about the basic rules in the implementation of research in the laboratory delivered by Yessy Rosalina, S.T.P., M.Si. The training activity was closed with a quiz in the form of an assessment to see the understanding of participants who had participated in the activity.<\/p>\n
