This success is clear evidence of the lecturers’ commitment to strengthening the research culture and community service as part of the implementation of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education.

In the Fundamental Research Scheme, there are three lecturers who have successfully obtained funding, namely Arina Fatharani, S.T.P., M.Sc., Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc., and Yusuf Irfan, S.T.P., M.T. Arina Fatharani, S.T.P., M.Sc. together with the team raised a research entitled A Study of the Bio-Physical Properties of Bengkulu Robusta Coffee Beans During Drying Based on Kinetic and Multivariate Modeling as a Basis for Post-Harvest Technology Development. Meanwhile, Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc. and his team researched the Response Surface Methodology Approach in Optimizing Bee Pollen Fermentation for Cell Wall Disruption and Increasing Bioaccessibility of Phenolic Compounds and Flavonoids. Yusuf Irfan, S.T.P., M.T. and his team carried the title Biochemical Characteristics and Kinetic Modeling of the Formation of Umami Compounds from Fish By-Products Using Response Surface Methodology. This scheme focuses on the development of basic sciences that have an important contribution to the advancement of agricultural technology.

In the Applied Research Scheme, funding was successfully achieved by Prof. Dr. Ir. Yuwana, M.Sc. and Dr. Yazid Ismi Intara, S.P., M.Si. Prof. Dr. Ir. Yuwana, M.Sc. and their team conducted a research entitled Design of Solar Energy Drying Device in the Form of a Double-Winged Stilt House for Octopus Drying, which is oriented towards the development of renewable energy-based drying technology. Meanwhile, Dr. Yazid Ismi Intara, S.P., M.Si. and his team conducted a research on the 1.5 Ton Capacity of High Acid CPO Processing Machine Equipment (HACPO) from Palm Oil Restan on the Scale of the People’s Garden. This applied research is directed to produce real solutions to various problems in society and industry, especially in the agriculture, food, and agro-industry sectors.

In the field of community service, Fitri Yuwita S., S.T.P., M.P. and her team successfully passed the PPM-Campus Around Campus Scheme with the title Innovation in Processing Coconut Waste into Nata De Coco as a Functional Food Product. This program focuses on empowering the community around campus through the use of agricultural waste into value-added products that are economically and health-beneficial.

Meanwhile, Sri Wulandari, S.T.P., M.Sc. and her team managed to obtain funding for the PPM-Partnership Scheme through the title Diversification of Herbal Sachet Coffee Products Based on Local Potential. This program integrates research results with community service activities to provide direct benefits, especially in the development of local food products that are innovative and have high economic value.

The success of these lecturers shows that the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program continues to be active in producing quality research and service that has a real impact. This PNBP funding not only supports the development of lecturer research, but also becomes a great opportunity to produce innovations that can be applied to answer the challenges of agricultural development, food security, and community empowerment in the future.

This achievement is expected to further strengthen the reputation of the Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Bengkulu as a center for the development of superior science, research, and innovation. In addition, this success is also a motivation for other lecturers to continue to actively contribute to research and community service to support institutional progress and sustainable development at the regional and national levels.

Lecturer of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu has again made a proud achievement by successfully passing as a Recipient of Funding for the 2026 Research and Community Service PNBP Program in various schemes organized by the University of Bengkulu.
