The University of Bengkulu, through the Department of Forestry, FP UNIB, has added one new study program at the Faculty of Agriculture, the Bachelor in Environmental Science Study Program. This new study program will begin accepting students through all UNIB new student admission schemes in the odd semester 2024.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Yansen, Ph.D. (Vice Dean for Academic Affairs) FP UNIB, said: \u201cThe minister\u2019s decision has been issued. \u201cThat means the Bachelor in Environmental Science study program has officially opened and will be included in new student admissions in 2024 through all existing admission routes: SNBP, SNBT, and SMMPTN,\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The decree establishing the environmental science study program was based on a letter from Plt. Secretary of the Directorate General of Higher Education, Research and Technology of the Ministry of Education and Culture dated 6 December 2023 concerning Decree of the Minister of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology Number 882\/E\/O\/2023 concerning Permits to Open the Environmental Science Study Program Undergraduate Program at Bengkulu University in Bengkulu City Date 1 December 2023.<\/span><\/p>\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full is-resized\"><a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-136949\" width=\"464\" height=\"482\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1.png 778w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1-289x300.png 289w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1-768x798.png 768w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1-255x265.png 255w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/bes\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/17\/2024\/05\/hiuhohih-1-600x623.png 600w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 464px) 100vw, 464px\" \/><\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The academic vision of the Bachelor in Environmental Science Study Program is related and compatible with the vision of the Faculty of Agriculture and the Vision of the University of Bengkulu. The vision was also built by taking the research master plan, which states that the coastal areas and tropical forests are the primary research for the University of Bengkulu, coordinated by the UNIB Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM) 2020-2025. The vision of the Bachelor in Environmental Science Study Program, Department of Forestry, FP UNIB, is to build an academic process so that the study program can be academically recognized in Sumatra by 2030 in environmental science related to sustainable management of tropical and coastal areas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Currently, the Forestry Department has 2 study programs: the forestry study program and the environmental science study program. Prof. Wiryono will lead this Environmental Science study program, and the lecturers\/researchers in the Forestry Department are committed to supporting the development of this program and providing a high-quality educational experience for students.
