<\/a><\/figure><\/div>\n\n\nThe project\u2019s objective was to provide high school students with theoretical knowledge on the importance of preserving the coastal resources of Enggano Island. The implementation of the project included classroom learning, field trips, and environmental activities. The classroom learning involved providing the students with information and reference materials related to coastal resource management and the environment. The field trips included observing the conditions of the coastal ecosystem, such as the mangrove forests, coral reefs, and seagrass beds, as well as planting coastal and mangrove vegetation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The lecturers delivered all the material using an infocus device and encouraged the students to engage in discussion and ask questions about the topic. The high school students were enthusiastic and receptive to the information provided by the Marine Science Study Program teams. After the material presentation, a question and answer session was conducted between the students and the presenters. To encourage active participation and gauge their understanding level, the presenters provided prizes for the students who asked questions.<\/p>\n\n\n The Marine Science Study Program teams were confident that, after the material presentation, the high school students would understand the importance of preserving the natural resources in the coastal areas of Enggano Island, particularly the mangrove forests, coral reefs, and seagrass beds. This community service activity was a new and valuable experience for the high school students of Enggano District, North Bengkulu Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n They believe that the project will positively impact the student\u2019s understanding and appreciation of the importance of preserving the coastal ecosystem. By raising awareness among the youth, the lecturers hope to contribute to the long-term sustainability of the coastal resources in the area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The Marine Science Study Program teams expressed their satisfaction with the project and the positive feedback received from the high school students. They were also grateful for the support provided by the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, which made the project possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The community service activity on coastal resource management for high school students is part of the Marine Science Study Program\u2019s efforts to promote environmental awareness and sustainability in the local community. The program aims to create a culture of responsible and sustainable use of natural resources among the younger generation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n The success of the project has inspired the lecturers of the Marine Science Study Program to conduct similar activities in the future, targeting other schools and communities in the area. They believe that community service activities such as this are crucial in promoting sustainable development and preserving the natural resources of the coastal regions of Enggano Island. Overall, the community service activity conducted by the lecturers and students of the Marine Science Study Program was a success. The high school students gained valuable knowledge on preserving coastal resources, while the lecturers gained valuable experience conducting community service activities.
