On Saturday, February 22, 2025, the Himpunan Mahasiswa Proteksi Tanaman (HMPT) of the Faculty of Agriculture, KBM Bengkulu University, successfully launched the 2025 Organizational Management Training (PMO). Held over two days (February 22\u201323, 2025) in Room 10, GB 1 UNIB, the event was themed \u201cForming Young Protectors with a Critical and Integrity-Driven Organizational Spirit.\u201d The ceremony was officially inaugurated by the Secretary of the Department of Plant Protection, Ir. Djamilah, M.P., and attended by the Deputy Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP, M.Si; Dr. Yenny Sariasih, SP, M.Sc.; Ms. Ilmi Hamidi, SP, M.Si; as well as other representatives from the Faculty of Agriculture\u2019s student organizations.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 1: Public Speaking (Presenter: Ajib Tri Saputra)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The first session, led by Ajib Tri Saputra, focused on public speaking, which is communicating effectively before an audience. Public speaking is a verbal art form that conveys ideas, messages, and opinions through structured communication. Its purposes include informing, entertaining, and persuading the audience. In an organizational context, effective public speaking fosters self-confidence, enhances skill development and leadership, improves social interaction, and broadens knowledge.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 2: Leadership and Organizational Management (Presenter: Rindi Exi Putra)<\/span><\/h3>\n

Following the public speaking session, Rindi Exi Putra delivered a presentation on Leadership and Organizational Management. This training program enhances individual abilities in leading and managing an organization. Its primary objectives are to develop leadership skills, improve work efficiency, and boost overall organizational performance. The session provided insights into effective leadership and cultivating a robust organizational spirit that can be applied in everyday life.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 3: POACE \u2013 Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, and Evaluation (Presenter: Yoandha Audritama Ihza Kesuma)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The third session introduced the POACE framework, presented by Yoandha Audritama Ihza Kesuma. POACE stands for Planning, Organizing, Actuating, Controlling, and Evaluation\u2014the essential sequential management functions required to achieve organizational goals. This session emphasized how the systematic implementation of POACE can enhance organizational efficiency and effectiveness by optimizing resource utilization, improving coordination and communication, and ensuring the smooth execution of activities.<\/span><\/p>\n

Session 4: Time Management (Presenter: Zaza Nurahmadanti)<\/span><\/h3>\n

The final session of the day, led by Zaza Nurahmadanti, addressed Time Management. Time management is the deliberate process of planning and controlling the time allocated to specific activities to increase effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity. This discipline employs various skills, tools, and techniques to complete tasks or projects within designated timeframes. Effective time management enables individuals and leaders to use their time judiciously, delegate responsibilities appropriately, and organize their work systematically, ensuring that key tasks are accomplished during each working hour.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
