Bengkulu, April 21, 2025<\/span><\/em> \u2014 In a proactive step toward cultivating capable and visionary student leaders, the Animal Husbandry Study Program at the University of Bengkulu held a comprehensive two-day Organizational Management Training (PMO, 2025) from April 19 to 20. The event, hosted at the Faculty of Agriculture, brought together 71 student participants and was facilitated by a team of 69 student organizers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The program was inaugurated with a formal ceremony attended by esteemed faculty members and campus leaders, including Vice Dean II Dr. Suharyanto, Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesty Pujiwati, Head of the Animal Husbandry Department, Dr. Irma Badarina, Head of the Study Program Ir. Edi Soetrisno, members of the association’s advisory board, and lecturers from the department. Their collective presence underscored the administration’s unwavering support for student development beyond academics.<\/span><\/p>\n

In her keynote address, Vice Dean III highlighted the critical importance of organizational training in fostering adaptive, innovative, and professionally minded student leaders. The Head of the Department added that engagement in student organizations nurtures essential soft skills and prepares students for real-world challenges. The association’s advisory board echoed this sentiment, urging participants to embrace the training wholeheartedly as an investment in their personal and professional growth.<\/span><\/p>\n

The training sessions featured expert-led modules on leadership, time management, organizational governance, and parliamentary rhetoric. Participants also engaged in team-building exercises and reflective sharing sessions to reinforce collaboration, creativity, and communication.<\/span><\/p>\n

On the second day, the program moved to Nibung Beach, where students participated in dynamic outdoor activities, including public speaking performances, trust-building games, and a high-spirited treasure hunt. These experiential components strengthened camaraderie and instilled practical leadership abilities in real-world scenarios.<\/span><\/p>\n

According to the Head of the Organizing Committee, the PMO 2025 was envisioned to prepare students for impactful roles in various organizational settings. “Through this program, we aspire to equip our peers with the skills and confidence to lead effectively, whether in student councils or future professional environments,” he said.<\/span><\/p>\n

The event concluded with a message of optimism: The next generation of HIPROMATER leaders will uphold the values of dedication and integrity and serve as catalysts for positive transformation within the academic community and beyond.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n
