The practicum was held on Saturday, May 24, 2025, at Lake Gedang, Central Bengkulu Regency.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>This hands-on activity was designed to enhance students\u2019 abilities to assess environmental quality\u2014specifically soil and water conditions\u2014and to analyze the impact of human activities on environmental pollution. The practicum was guided by Prof. Dr. Ir. Riwandi, MS., Dr. Agus Martono HP., D.E.A., Dr. Yurike, S.Pt., Prof. Dr. Ir. &nbsp;Urip Santoso, M.Sc. and Kartika Utami, SP., MSc.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-gallery has-nested-images columns-default is-cropped wp-block-gallery-1 is-layout-flex\">\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3.png\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"883\" height=\"671\" data-id=\"138352\"  src=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-138352\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3.png 883w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3-300x228.png 300w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3-768x584.png 768w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-3-255x194.png 255w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 883px) 100vw, 883px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n<\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The fieldwork covered two main components:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol type=\"1\" start=\"1\">\n<li>Soil Quality Assessment<br>Students observed and scored key soil quality indicators in the field, including: Soil workability; Compaction and water infiltration; Erosion; Ground cover; Soil biological activity and organic matter; Plant growth and root development<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lake Water Quality Evaluation<br>Water quality was evaluated through:\n<ul>\n<li>Observation of physical conditions (color, odor, sediment)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>pH measurement using universal pH indicator strips<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Sediment quantification through sample filtration<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Identification of pollution sources and proposing conservation solutions<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><a href=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2.jpg\"><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" width=\"1024\" height=\"768\" src=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2-1024x768.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-138348\" srcset=\"https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2-1024x768.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2-300x225.jpg 300w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2-768x576.jpg 768w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2-255x191.jpg 255w, https:\/\/agriculture.unib.ac.id\/mnerm\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/13\/2025\/05\/foto-pratikum-2.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/a><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The practicum aimed to develop students\u2019 psychomotor skills and sensitivity in identifying environmental symptoms caused by human actions, such as mining, intensive agriculture, and industrial or household waste. Students were also expected to interpret field results and propose sustainable environmental management recommendations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cThis practicum is crucial not only for academic learning but also for fostering awareness and practical skills in real-world environmental conditions.
