AGROINDUSTRIAL TECHNOLOGY STUDY PROGRAM IMPLEMENTS ENTREPRENEURSHIP GRANTS 2022

The Entrepreneurship Grant is a program of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu in creating business activities. In Entrepreneurship Grants, student teams practice making creative business products that are needed by the community (market). Through Entrepreneurship Grants, students have broad opportunities to improve their competence in creating and innovating to create new products, as well as increase their knowledge and experience in entrepreneurship.

The student team must carry out an analysis of market needs and opportunities, to then create business (commodity) creativity in order to provide for these market needs. Entrepreneurship Grant business commodities are processed products from various agricultural products. Where processing is the development or innovation of new processed products that have economic value and innovation

The purpose of the entrepreneurship grant for the Agroindustrial Industry Technology Study Program:

  1. Motivating (encouraging interest) and providing opportunities for students to produce creative, innovative work as a provision for entrepreneurship before or after completing studies;
  2. Provide opportunities for students to practice entrepreneurship with a comprehensive understanding of entrepreneurial concepts.

The Entrepreneurship Grant is expected to be the forerunner to the emergence of business products from the Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu.

Implementation of activities carried out entrepreneurship grant activities are carried out with several assessments and selections where proposal submission will be held from 22 November to 6 December 2022 with the following criteria for proposals:

  1. Participants are active students of the Bengkulu University Agroindustrial Technology Study Program,
  2. The topic of the proposal is “processed agricultural products”,
  3. The magnitude activity fund per title IDR 1,500,000.00 (one million five hundred rupiah).

Then on December 7 2022 a product sample was collected by the entrepreneurship grant team, on December 8 to 12 2022 an assessment was carried out where the assessment was carried out by a jury who is an expert in food science and technology, then the announcement of the results of the assessment and recipients of entrepreneurial grants on December 13 2022, The results of the entrepreneurship grant assessment are:

Submission of entrepreneurial grants and award certificates on December 15, 2022 which were directly given by the chairman and Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Agroindustrial Technology Study Program.

Business implementation activities are carried out from 16 December 2022 to 25 January 2023 where the recipient team carries out its business activities according to the schedule attached to the entrepreneurship grant proposal that has been submitted, and the final activity is sending an implementation report on 2 February 2023.

The outcome of activities Entrepreneurial grants for the Agroindustrial Technology Study Program, namely reports on the implementation and business products of the entrepreneurial grant recipient team.
