Public Lecture and Welcoming of New Students of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu in 2023

The Agricultural Industrial Technology Student Association (HIMATIN) together with the Department of Agricultural Technology Faculty of Agriculture University of Bengkulu held a public lecture and welcoming of new students in 2023 on Saturday 12 August 2023 in room 4 GKB (Gedung Kuliah Bersama) I University of Bengkulu.

Public lecture activities and welcoming of new students began at 08.00 WIB and were attended by several lecturers of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program and Employees of the Department of Agricultural Technology and were attended by 135 participants where 102 participants were new students accepted at the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program at the University of Bengkulu in 2023.

The activity began with remarks by the Head of HIMATIN, remarks by the HIMATIN Advisor, namely Ulfah Anis, STP, M.Sc. and was opened directly by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Drs. Syafnil, M.Sc. Several lecturers who had not yet had time to come gave messages to new students “Happy studying at the Department of Agricultural Technology and the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program as a preparation for achieving success in life” message from Prof. Dr. Ir. Yuwana, M.Sc.

The activity was continued with delivery from lecturer representatives, namely Dr. Ir. Budiyanto, M.Sc. where he conveyed about lectures and fields of knowledge in the Department of Agricultural Technology. The second material was about the Department of Agricultural Technology as well as introducing the lecturers and staff of the Department of Agricultural Technology delivered by Ir. Lukman Hidayat, M.P. and the KRS filling material presented by Ika Gusriani, STP, MP. The material presented received enthusiasm from new students as evidenced in the question and answer session, many students wanted to ask questions. The morning activity session was closed with a group photo of the participants and lecturers of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program who were present.

After resting, praying, and eating, the activities continued with filling in the material. The afternoon session activities presented speakers from outstanding students from the Department of Agricultural Technology, namely Tiara Diah Oktama and Nova Anggriana. In addition to providing motivation, the presenters also introduced the student creativity program that they are currently carrying out by presenting the program team and displaying processed products that are made so that participants are interested in program activities that can be participated in at the University of Bengkulu. Then, after the material was questioned and answered, the activity was closed with a joint photo of the participants with the presenters and the student creativity program team.
