Grand Reunion of the Big Family of HIMATIN University of Bengkulu on the Peak Day of HIMATIN XXV Anniversary presents alumni from the class of 1998 to 2019

On Saturday, December 16, 2023, the Grand Reunion of the HIMATIN Big Family of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu was held. The activity was held at 08.30 to 14.00 in the yard of the Agricultural Technology Laboratory of Bengkulu University with more than 150 participants who were lecturers of the Department of Agricultural Technology, alumni representatives from the class of 1998 to the class of 2019, students of the Department of Agricultural Technology class of 2020 to the class of 2023. The activity looked festive with the presence of HIMATIN birthday greeting flower boards from all batches of alumni and students displayed on the roadside at the Agricultural Technology Laboratory of Bengkulu University.

The activity began with remarks from the Chairman of the Dies Natalis Committee, Chairman of HIMATIN, and remarks from the HIMATIN Supervisor delivered by Ir. Lukman Hidayat, MP. The activity was officially opened by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Drs. Syafnil, M.Si. After the opening speech session and officially opened, the activity continued with the screening of video photos of memories of HIMATIN activities from the class of 1998 to the class of 2023.

The next activity was the cutting of tumpeng represented by Drs. Syafnil, M.Si. as Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Dr. Ir. Budiyanto, M.Sc as a lecturer representative of the Department of Agricultural Technology, and Firmansyah, S.T.P as the Former Chairman of the First HIMATIN and Alumni Representative. After cutting tumpeng by representatives, continued by eating rice tumpeng together with lecturers, alumni, and students of the Department of Agricultural Technology accompanied by the appearance of MINBAK students of the Department of Agricultural Technology.

The next activity is GO Green, where alumni, lecturers and student representatives plant several tree seedlings around the yard of the Agricultural Technology Laboratory. Then the activity continued with a discussion session, where alumni representatives who came were asked to convey their experiences as students, stories and memories during lectures and being a HIMATIN administrator, as well as the benefits of courses in the field of work they are doing now. Activities last until lunch break.

The afternoon activity was a meal with alumni, lecturers, committees and participants of the grand reunion activity. After lunch and rest, an alumni discussion was held about the establishment of a new INICIATIP management in order to establish closer friendship and for the advancement of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu.
