Open House and Welcoming New Students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Bengkulu

On Thursday, August 8, 2024, an open house and welcoming new students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program of the Department of Agricultural Technology were held. The activity was carried out in the Training Room 24 of the University of Bengkulu and was attended by the Head of Department, lecturers, staff of the Department of Agricultural Technology and students who are members of HIMATIN and attended by 101 new students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology. This activity is part of the agenda in introducing the campus life of new students of the Faculty of Agriculture.

At the opening activity, the Deputy for Student Affairs, Dr. Hesti Pujiwati, SP., M.Si. was present and gave a speech and greeted all new students. The activity continued with remarks by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Drs. Syafnil, M.Si. as well as officially opening the activity. The opening activity was closed with a joint prayer led by a representative of the lecturer of the Department of Agricultural Technology, namely Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc.

After the opening activity, it was continued with the first material about the introduction of lecturers, staff of the Department of Agricultural Technology and the Agricultural Technology Laboratory delivered by Drs. Syafnil, M.Si. In the question and answer session, students were enthusiastic in asking questions so that many prizes were given by the Department as appreciation to new students who dared to ask questions and express their opinions.

The second material was delivered by Yessi Rosalina, S.T.P., M.Si as an alumnus and lecturer of the Department of Agricultural Technology about the introduction and explanation of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program starting from what is studied, the field of knowledge, the length of study, learning methods, to the work of S1 graduates of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program. In addition to the delivery of the material, outstanding students and student teams who have passed various funding programs both at the physical and national levels were also conveyed and introduced. On this occasion, various processed products from funding were introduced to new students.

The third material on the introduction of HIMATIN or the Agricultural Industrial Technology Student Association was delivered directly by the Chairman of HIMATIN, Eriyansyah Saputra. The open house and welcoming of new students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program of the Department of Agricultural Technology were closed with a photo with all new students, lecturers, staff, and HIMATIN members.
