Community Empowerment Through Bee Pollen Processing Training in Lubuk Gilang Village, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province
On Wednesday, August 20, 2025, community service activities were carried out with bee pollen processing in Lubuk Gilang Village, Air Periukan District, Seluma Regency, Bengkulu Province. This activity was carried out by lecturers from the University of Bengkulu, namely Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc. Fitri Yuwita S., S.T.P., M.P. Ir. Nurul Renaningtias, S.T., M.Kom Vicka Andini, S.Si., M.Sc. Sri Wulandari, S.T.P., M.Sc. and attended by residents of Lubuk Gilang Village who are members of the Rangers Bee farmer group.
The Rangers Bee Farmers Group is chaired by Mr. Mulyadi, this farmer group plays an important role in increasing farmers’ income and welfare as well as supporting independence in doing business in the beekeeping sector. Members of the Ranggers Bee Farmers Group consisted of community representatives from several villages, including Kungkai Baru, Talang Sebaris and Napal Junggur Villages.
This service activity aims to make the Rangers Bee Farmers Group transform bee pollen from a by-product into a superior high-value-added commodity, starting from the hygienic post-harvest stage, processing, to digital marketing, so that farmers’ income increases and the beekeeping value chain in Lubuk Gilang Village is more competitive.
This activity was attended by 20 people, the activities carried out were socialization of bee pollen processing to marketing, previously the bee pollen produced had not been processed or utilized. To support the sustainability of the activities, the service team handed over 1 unit of oven which will later be used as a bee pollen dryer.
