
Team of Lecturers and Students of Agricultural Industrial Technology Socialize Agricultural Technology from Plantations to Consumers at SMA IT Iqra’ Bengkulu City
Bengkulu — The Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu again carried out Community Service activities on Monday, October 27, 2025, through a socialization entitled “Socialization of the Introduction of Agricultural Technology from the Plantation Stage to Consumers.” This activity took place at SMA IT Iqra’ Bengkulu City, which is located at Jalan Merawan 19 RT 25 RW 07, Sawah Lebar, Ratu Agung, Bengkulu City.
This service activity was carried out by a team of lecturers consisting of Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc, Drs. Syafnil, M.Si, and Drs. Bosman Sidebang, M.P., and accompanied by three students, namely Audi Pratiwi, Teguh Ramadhan, and Diky Ramadhan. Through this activity, the team introduced the development of modern agricultural technology that is applied starting from the cultivation process at the plantation level, processing agricultural products, to product distribution to consumers.
A total of 35 students of SMA IT Iqra’ Bengkulu City participated in this socialization with enthusiasm. Participants gained an understanding of the technology that supports today’s agriculture, such as modern agricultural machinery and tools, crop monitoring systems, and post-harvest innovations. In addition, students are also invited to get to know the important role of technology in improving the efficiency, quality, and sustainability of agricultural production.
Through this activity, the team hopes that students will get a broader picture of the potential of the agricultural sector as a field that continues to grow and is relevant to technological developments. Agriculture is not only about cultivation, but also covers a wide supply chain, opening up great opportunities for the younger generation to work and innovate in the future.
