Farewell to Retiree Ir. Wuri Marsigit, M.App.Sc., Lecturer of Agricultural Technology UNIB Full of Emotion and Memories
The Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu held a retirement farewell ceremony for one of its best lecturers, Ir. Wuri Marsigit, M.App.Sc., on Tuesday, April 7, 2026. The activity, which took place in the Meeting Room of the Department of Agricultural Technology, started at 10.00 to 13.00 WIB and was attended by retired lecturers, active lecturers and their families, department staff, laboratory staff, and student representatives.
The event took place in a warm and family atmosphere. The series of activities began with the delivery of impressions and messages from representatives of departments, lecturers, and colleagues who have worked together for a long time. In this moment, various stories of Ir. Wuri Marsigit’s journey and dedication while serving in the Department of Agricultural Technology were also conveyed, describing his great role in the development of education, research, and student development.
The activity then continued with the screening of a documentary video showing Ir. Wuri Marsigit’s service journey, starting from lecture activities, academic guidance, to involvement in various department activities. The emotional atmosphere was even more felt by the messages and impressions from the alumni who had been mentored, both as lecturers in charge of courses, academic supervisors, and thesis supervisors. The alumni expressed their gratitude for the dedication, knowledge, and guidance that has been provided so far.
As a form of appreciation, a memento was also handed over from the department, lecturers, and alumni to Ir. Wuri Marsigit, M.App.Sc. This moment is a symbol of appreciation for his contribution and devotion which has had a great impact on the progress of the Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Bengkulu.
The event was then closed with a group photo session and a luncheon, which further strengthened the togetherness of the entire big family of the major. An atmosphere full of warmth and respect enveloped the entire series of activities as a form of respect for the long dedication that has been given.
This farewell is not only a moment of release, but also a form of appreciation for the journey of devotion of an educator who has made a real contribution in producing a superior generation in the field of agricultural technology. It is hoped that the spirit and values that have been instilled by Ir. Wuri Marsigit, M.App.Sc. can continue to be an inspiration for the academic community in continuing the relay of science and education development in the future.
