
Lecturer of the Department of Agricultural Technology Provides Training and Socialization of Various Processed Products in Sumber Bening Village, Rejang Lebong Regency
On Saturday, September 21, 2024, in Sumber Bening Village, Selupu Rejang District, Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, community service activities were carried out in the form of training and socialization of various processed food products. This activity was carried out by lecturers from the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu and participated by village communities who are members of the Forest Conservation Women’s Cooperative or KPPL Sumber Jaya and KPPL Sejahtera.
Some of the topics of training and socialization materials presented are technology for preserving local ingredients and improving the nutrition of fish jackfruit shreds, improving the processing process of avocado products, education on digital marketing development strategies, education on various types and sizes of post-harvest processed product packaging to increase product selling value, improving product quality through the application of good processed food production methods in the household food industry, the manufacture of jackfruit chips as the development of processed jackfruit products, and the introduction of the post-harvest handling process of fresh products as raw materials for making processed products.
The activity was opened directly by Sumber Bening village and continued with the delivery of material from lecturers of the Department of Agricultural Technology in turn. Not only delivering material but also carrying out several practices for making several processed products. This activity was closed with a photo with participants and lecturers of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu.
