PKM HIMATIN 2026 Proposal Writing Workshop Activities, Producing Dozens of Innovative Ideas for Students of the Department of Agricultural Technology

The Agricultural Industrial Technology Student Association (HIMATIN) of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu successfully held a Workshop on Writing Proposals for the 2026 Student Creativity Program (PKM) on Sunday, February 8, 2026, at Room 2 of the Joint Lecture Building (GKB) I, University of Bengkulu. The activity, which took place from 08.00 to 15.30 WIB, carried the theme “Innovation and Student Creativity as the Main Foundation in Producing an Adaptive, Solution, and Ready Generation to Face the Challenges of the Times”.

The event was officially opened with remarks from Audi Pratiwi as Chairman of the Committee, Muhammad Riko as Chairman of HIMATIN, and Dr. Evanila Silvia, S.T.P., M.Si. as Secretary of the Department of Agricultural Technology. The opening of the activity was officially carried out by Dr. Hesty Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si., Vice Dean for Student Affairs, Alumni, and Cooperation of the Faculty of Agriculture. In his remarks, he emphasized the importance of PKM as a forum for developing students’ academic potential and creativity. The opening activity was closed with a documentation session with all invitees, committees, and participants.

Entering the material session, the first presentation was delivered by Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc. who reviewed in depth the technique of writing PKM proposals, starting from the selection of innovative ideas, background preparation, implementation methods, to strategies so that proposals have competitiveness at the national level. This session was interactive through enthusiastic discussions and questions and answers from the participants.

Furthermore, Ika Gusriani, S.T.P., M.P. delivered material related to student funding opportunities through the Entrepreneurial Student Development Program (P2MW) and the Student Organization Capacity Building Program (PPK ORMAWA). This material provides additional insight for students to develop ideas not only in the PKM scheme, but also in the field of entrepreneurship and organizational strengthening. Each material session ended with a discussion and the presentation of certificates to the resource persons as a form of appreciation.

After ISHOMA (rest, prayer, and lunch), the activity continued with a core session in the form of discussion and intensive guidance on writing PKM proposals. This session was guided directly by the HIMATIN coaches, namely Selly Ratna Sari, S.P., M.Si., Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc., Sri Wulandari, S.T.P., M.Sc., and Yusuf Irfan, S.T.P., M.Si. Participants were divided into small groups and guided directly starting from the development of topics to the systematic preparation of proposals according to applicable guidelines.

This workshop produced a proud achievement, with the formation of 30 groups and the collection of around 50 to 60 PKM proposal topics that are ready to be further developed. This achievement shows the high enthusiasm of students in innovating and HIMATIN’s commitment to building a culture of research and creativity within the Department of Agricultural Technology. Through this activity, it is hoped that students will be more motivated to produce innovative works that are not only competitive at the national level, but also able to provide real solutions for society.
