Team of Agricultural Industrial Technology Lecturers and Students Carry Out Sustainable Agriculture Socialization at Iqra’ IT High School, Bengkulu City

Bengkulu — A team of lecturers and students from the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, carried out a Community Service activity entitled “Introduction to Sustainable Agriculture and Technological Innovation for the Young Generation” on Monday, October 27, 2025. This activity took place at SMA IT Iqra’ Bengkulu City, located on Jalan Merawan 19 RT 25 RW 07, Sawah Lebar, Ratu Agung, Bengkulu City.

This service activity involved three lecturers, namely Arina Fatharani, S.T.P., M.Sc., Ir. Hidayat Koto, M.Sc., and Suhendra, S.T.P., M.Sc., as well as three accompanying students, namely Muhammad Rasyid Ridho, Dimas Catur Sanjaya, and Dina Olivia Purba. The team provided a presentation on the basic concepts of sustainable agriculture, examples of the application of innovative technologies in the agricultural sector, and the important role of the younger generation in supporting food security in the future.

The socialization activity was attended by 35 students of SMA IT Iqra’ who showed high enthusiasm for various modern agricultural innovations. The students gain an explanation of efficient cultivation techniques, environmentally friendly technologies, as well as agricultural industry development opportunities that are increasingly relevant to global needs.

Through this activity, the team hopes that the students can understand that the agricultural sector is a strategic field that continues to grow and offers wide career opportunities for the younger generation. This knowledge strengthening is also expected to be able to foster students’ interest in contributing to sustainable agricultural development in the future.
