
Teaching Practitioner Activities, Iman Darmatama Gives a Lecture on Food Industry Production, Packaging, and Storage at the Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Bengkulu
The Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu held a Teaching Practitioner activity in the Packaging and Storage Management course which took place on October 16 and 23, 2025, at 10.00–12.00 WIB, located in Room 23 of GKB I Training at the University of Bengkulu.
This activity presented Iman Darmatama, S.T., CPSP., CODP., CPRW., CBPA., CSEM., an alumnus of the Department of Agricultural Technology, University of Bengkulu, who is currently the Owner of ID Home, and has professional experience as a Head Production Unit of PT. Mayora Indah Tbk (2018–2020) and Professional Graphic Designer. Its presence provided direct insight to students about real practices in the world of food industry and packaging design.
In this practitioner lecture, Iman Darmatama presented several main topics, including production and packaging in the food industry, product packaging design, storage and quality control systems in the food industry. In the first session (October 16, 2025), the speaker delivered material on the production and packaging process in the food industry, including operational standards and the application of production efficiency. In the second session (October 23, 2025), the topic focused on packaging design, product storage, and strategies to increase selling value through attractive and functional packaging and quality control systems.
During the activity, students showed high enthusiasm. This can be seen from the active discussion and the many questions asked to the speakers related to industry practices and career opportunities in the field of food technology and packaging design. The activity ended with a group photo session and the presentation of certificates of appreciation to the speakers by the Department of Agricultural Technology.
