History

Bachelor of Agribusiness

The Department of Agricultural Socio-Economic (Sosek Agriculture) is one of the majors of 6 (six) majors in the Faculty of Agriculture (Faperta) Bengkulu University (UNIB). As a department, the Department of Agriculture was originally a study program under the Department of Agricultural Cultivation (BDP) which was formed based on the Decree of the Directorate of Higher Education No 214/DIKTI/KEP/1993. The legality of this study program was refined by the Director General of Higher Education through SK number 214/DIKTI/KEP/1996 dated July 11, 1996 where the Agricultural Socio-Economic study program was given the authority to hold the S – 1 level.

Furthermore, through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education No. 63/DIKTI/KEP/1998 dated February 26, 1998, it was approved the opening of 3 (three) departments, namely the Department of Agricultural Social Economics, the Department of Forestry and the Department of Animal Husbandry. Thus, the Department of Agriculture Sosek was born on February 26, 1998. The issuance of SK DIKTI No. 163/DIKTI/KEP/2007 Regarding the Arrangement and Codification of Study Programs, the Agricultural/Agribusiness Socio-Economic Study Program changed to Agribusiness Study Program.
