About BAE

The Agroecotechnology Study Program was established and started operating based on SK Number 163/DIKTI/Kep/2007 dated November 29, 2007. Since October 31 2017, together with the issuance of SK BAN-PT Number 4115/SK/BAN-PT/Akred/S/X/2017 Accredited Agroecotechnology Study Program with an A rating.

History of BAE

The Agroecotechnology Study Program was established on March 18, 2010, through the Decree of the Director General of Higher Education, Ministry of National Education, Republic of Indonesia Number 294/D/T/2010.

Lecturers

The Agroecotechnology Study Program is supported by 36 lecturers with 47% doctoral qualifications and 53% master/master qualifications. Lecturers are 27% professors and 53% are head lectors.

Agroecotechnology Student from the University of Bengkulu Wins 1st Place in National Poster Competition

Bayu Ikhwani, a 2023 student of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, University of Bengkulu, won 1st Place in the National Poster Competition at Universitas Muhammadiyah Palembang with his poster “BUMI BUTUH MASA DEPAN” (“The Earth Needs a Future”), promoting food sustainability and environmental awareness.

Community Empowerment in Harapan Village through Household Waste Management Based on 9R Principles to Produce Liquid Organic Fertilizer

The Agroecotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, empowered the residents of Harapan Village, Central Bengkulu, through a 9R-based household waste management initiative. The program guided the community in transforming organic waste into liquid organic fertilizer, promoting environmental awareness, sustainable agriculture, and supporting low-carbon development efforts in rural areas.
