Agroecotechnology Lecturers Receive 2026 PNBP UNIB Research and Community Service Grants

Bengkulu, 2026 — The Agroecotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB), proudly congratulates its lecturers who have been selected as recipients of the 2026 PNBP UNIB Research and Community Service Grants.

This achievement reflects the strong commitment of Agroecotechnology lecturers to advancing academic excellence, research innovation, and community empowerment through science-based programs.

Research Grant Recipients

In the research category, two lecturers received funding for their proposed studies:

  • Dr. Helfi Eka Saputra, S.P., M.Si.
    Fundamental Research
    Research title: “Characterization and Study of Melon Diversity as a Basis for Genetic Studies and Inheritance Studies.”
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Dwi Wahyuni Ganefianti, M.S.
    Domestic Collaborative Research
    Research title: “Exploration, Domestication, and Metagenomic Analysis of Endophytic Microbes in Natural Orchids of the Bengkulu University Educational Forest.”

These research projects are expected to contribute to the development of agricultural science, particularly in plant diversity, genetic studies, and microbial exploration.

Community Service Grant Recipients

In the community service category, several lecturers also received funding to implement programs that directly support local communities and agricultural development:

  • Anita Hazimah Putri, S.P., M.Si.
    Program title: “Development of Local Food Products as a Stimulus for the Economic Activities of the Srikandi Women’s Farmers Group, Pasar Pedati Village, Central Bengkulu.”
  • Septiana Anggraini, S.P., M.Si.
    Program title: “Optimizing the Utilization of Orange Peel Waste as a Trichoderma-Based Biofertilizer to Support Sustainable Agricultural Systems in the Rezeki Bersama Farming Group in Bengkulu City.”
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Marlin, M.Sc.
    Program title: “Dissemination of True Shallot Seeds (TSS)-Based Shallot Cultivation Technology in Batu Ampar Village.”
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. Reny Herawati, M.P.
    Program title: “Introduction of the Productivity of the Certified Harapan Paddy Strain from UNIB in Preparation for New Superior Variety Development to Support Food Security in Rindu Hati Village, Central Bengkulu Regency.”

These community service programs demonstrate the role of university lecturers in applying research-based knowledge to solve real problems in society, particularly in agriculture, local food development, waste utilization, and food security.

Strengthening Research and Community Impact

The success of Agroecotechnology lecturers in receiving the 2026 PNBP UNIB grants highlights the study program’s active contribution to the Tri Dharma of Higher Education, especially in research and community service.
