Agroecotechnology Students of University of Bengkulu Conduct Scientific Visit to University of Lampung

Lampung, April 24, 2026 — Students of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, Department of Crop Production, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (Faperta UNIB), conducted an agro-educational field trip to the Department of Agrotechnology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung (UNILA) on Friday, April 24, 2026.

This activity was part of the Agrowidyawisata program for the 2023/2024 cohort. The program aims to enrich students’ academic insight, practical experience, and understanding of agricultural innovation beyond the classroom.

Warm Welcome from the University of Lampung

The delegation was warmly welcomed by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, Dr. Ir. Kuswanta Futas Hidayat, M.P., along with members of the faculty leadership. Also present were the Head of the Department of Agrotechnology, academic staff, and representatives of the Agrotechnology Student Association (PERMA AGT) of Faperta UNILA.

In his remarks, Dr. Kuswanta expressed appreciation for the visit and emphasized the importance of inter-university collaboration in improving education, research, and agricultural innovation.

Meanwhile, the Head of the Department of Agrotechnology, Ir. Setyo Widagdo, M.Si., highlighted that the visit served as a strategic platform to strengthen institutional relations and open opportunities for future academic collaboration.

Academic Supervisors and Student Engagement

The Faperta UNIB student group was accompanied by four academic supervisors: Dr. Helfi Eka Saputra, Ela Hasri Windari, S.Si., M.Sc., Anita Hazimah Putri, S.P., M.Si., and Rahayu Arraudhah, S.P., M.Si. Their presence reflected the study program’s commitment to ensuring that the field trip ran effectively and provided meaningful learning outcomes.

During the visit, students participated in presentations, interactive discussions, and facility tours. They also visited supporting facilities, including laboratories and experimental fields. Through these activities, students gained firsthand exposure to crop cultivation technologies, land resource management, and agricultural innovations developed at the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung.

Strengthening Academic Collaboration

The participants showed strong enthusiasm throughout the program, especially during the discussion and question-and-answer sessions. This activity is expected to strengthen students’ knowledge, practical skills, and readiness to face future challenges in agroecotechnology.

The program concluded with a group photo session and the exchange of souvenirs. This moment symbolized the strong relationship between the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu and the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Lampung, while also marking an important step toward broader collaboration among agricultural higher education institutions in Indonesia.
