Agroecotechnology Study Program Holds Retirement Appreciation Event for Senior Lecturers

Bengkulu, December 12, 2025 — The Agroecotechnology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB), held a retirement appreciation event (Purna Tugas Dosen) on December 12, 2025, honoring two senior lecturers who have completed their academic service with dedication and integrity.

The event was dedicated to Ir. Marwanto, M.Sc., Ph.D. and Ir. Eko Suprijono, M.P., both of whom have made significant contributions to the development of the Agroecotechnology Study Program and to the academic community of the Faculty of Agriculture.


A Tribute to Years of Dedication and Service

The retirement event carried a meaningful message that parting does not mean separation, but rather a celebration of a lifelong academic journey. Both lecturers were recognized not only for their professional achievements but also for their positive relationships and collegial spirit within the Agroecotechnology academic community.

The event took place in the Meeting Room of the Department of Crop Production and was attended by nearly all lecturers of the Agroecotechnology Study Program, along with administrative staff. The atmosphere was warm, respectful, and joyful.

Moments of laughter and reflection filled the room as short videos highlighting the academic journey and personal memories of each senior lecturer were presented. These moments strengthened the sense of family and togetherness among members of the study program.


Continuing Bonds Beyond Formal Service

Although officially entering retirement, both lecturers remain an important part of the Agroecotechnology family. The event served as a reminder that academic contributions and friendships extend beyond formal duties and continue as shared values within the institution.
