
Audi Pratiwi and Muhammad Fauzan Syafiq Lead Two Teams of Agricultural Industrial Technology Students to Pass the 2026 Entrepreneurial Student Assistance Program (BMW) at the University of Bengkulu
The Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu once again recorded a proud achievement through the success of two student teams of the class of 2024 who passed as recipients of the 2026 Entrepreneurial Student Assistance Program (BMW) at the University of Bengkulu. Both teams managed to obtain funding in different business categories through innovations that raised local potential and student creativity.
The first team was chaired by Audi Pratiwi with members Jandini Lahillasthira and Naswa Nurfitri Ramadani. This team managed to secure funding in the Creative Industry, Arts, Culture, and Tourism categories through a business proposal entitled “Rafflesia Heritage Outer”. The products developed elevate the cultural richness and local identity of Bengkulu into creative fashion products which are expected to be able to become a regional promotional medium as well as have economic value and competitiveness.
Meanwhile, the second team was chaired by Muhammad Fauzan Syafiq along with Haikal Akbar Kurnia and Muhammad Ripaldo Aldion. This team managed to obtain funding in the Food and Beverage category with a business proposal entitled “FISH BITE: Ready-to-Eat Layur Fish Brains Based on Kecombrang Biopreservatives”. The innovation presents ready-to-eat food products made from layur fish that utilize natural biopreservatives from kecombrang, so as to produce products that are more practical, have added value, and support the development of healthier and more sustainable food.
The Entrepreneurial Student Assistance Program (BMW) is one of the programs of the University of Bengkulu that aims to foster the entrepreneurial spirit of students through funding support, coaching, and business assistance. This program provides opportunities for students to develop innovative business ideas into sustainable businesses and contribute to economic and community development.
The success of the two teams is inseparable from the assistance of Selly Ratna Sari, S.Pi., M.Si., as the supervisor, who provides direction from the proposal preparation process to the selection stage. The assistance is expected to continue in the business development process so that both teams are able to implement their business ideas into products that have competitiveness at the regional and national levels.
This achievement is proof that the students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program are not only superior in the academic field, but also able to produce innovations that are applicable and have economic value. Through the development of creative products based on local culture and food innovations based on regional resources, students show their commitment to creating useful solutions while opening up new business opportunities.
The Head of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program expressed his appreciation for the achievements achieved by the two student teams. This success is expected to be a motivation for other students to continue to develop creativity, innovation, and entrepreneurial spirit through various competitive programs organized by the University of Bengkulu and other institutions.
