A proud achievement was again achieved by students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu. Ahmad Rafi, a student of the class of 2025, won 2nd place in the Kyorugi Senior Under 63 kg Men’s (Male U-63) at the KSATRIA NUSANTARA PBTI Series Championships: Road to 8th Asian Taekwondo Indonesia Open Championship 2026.

The prestigious championship was held on July 10-12, 2026 at the Multipurpose Building (GSG) of the University of Lampung and became one of the coaching and measurement events for taekwondo athletes from various regions in Indonesia.

This competition was attended by 1,605 athletes from 12 provinces in Indonesia. The large number of participants shows the high enthusiasm for the sport of taekwondo as well as making this championship a competitive competition forum for athletes from various categories.

In its implementation, the championship competes in kyorugi (fighting) numbers ranging from beginner categories to achievements. To support the smooth running of the match with a very large number of participants, the committee prepared four match arenas, so that the entire series of competitions could take place effectively and in an orderly manner.

In the midst of fierce competition, Ahmad Rafi managed to show his best ability to win 2nd place in the Kyorugi Senior Under 63 kg Men’s category. This achievement is proof of dedication, hard work, and high fighting spirit in developing academic and non-academic abilities.

This achievement has also made the name of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu at the national and international levels. Ahmad Rafi’s achievements are expected to be an inspiration for other students to continue to develop their potential, excel in various fields, and bring the good name of the University of Bengkulu through academic and non-academic competitions.

Hopefully this success will be a motivation to continue to improve achievements in the next competitions and encourage the birth of more outstanding students who are able to compete at the national and international levels.
