The final stage of cadre development activities, namely Cadre Actualization (Akar) and Environmental Cadre Training (LKL) for the 2025 Environmental Science Class, has been implemented.
On May 2–3, 2025, at Glamping Camp Rindu Hati in Central Bengkulu, the final phase of the cadre development program, Akar and LKL for the 2025 Environmental Science Class, was held. This activity was organized by the HIMAPSIL FP KBM UNIB management as part of an effort to develop quality cadres. This activity also concluded the previous series of cadre development activities, organizational gathering for self-loyalty and self-bondage (SOLID) phase as an initial introduction, and organizational management training (PMO) phase as a process of deepening the material and developing basic character.

Throughout the program, lecturers from the Forestry and Environmental Sciences study programs acted as mentors, ensuring the program ran smoothly and aligned with academic values. As the final phase, Akar and LKL focused on strengthening participants’ understanding of science, leadership, and building a sense of community. Participants not only received material but also engaged in various activities such as discussions, group dynamics, and field activities that fostered cooperation, responsibility, and environmental stewardship.

This cadre development activity is a mandatory requirement for students to officially join the Environmental Science Student Association (HIMAPSIL), so active participation in every stage is crucial. Through this series of activities, participants are expected to not only understand the knowledge gained, but also develop a positive attitude, a sense of responsibility, and a readiness to contribute to the organization.

With the completion of the Root and LKL stages, it is hoped that all participants who have completed the cadre development process from beginning to end will become part of a strong, extended Environmental Science family and be able to make a positive impact in every role they undertake.
