Environmental Science students pass the internal selection for the University of Bengkulu’s Student Creativity Week (PKM) and are selected by the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, and Technology.

Bengkulu – April 7, 2026, as part of the Student Creativity Program (PKM), an internal selection process was conducted at the university level as a preliminary step to select the best proposals for submission to the national level. This year, approximately 800 proposals from various study programs and faculties were selected. Of these, 100 proposals passed the internal selection.
Of the total proposals, seven came from the Faculty of Agriculture.

Environmental Science students contributed by having three proposals passed the internal selection, which was supervised by Hefri Oktoyoki, S.Hut, M.Si., a young lecturer in the Forestry Department. This achievement demonstrates an increase in the quality of ideas and the team’s readiness to develop competitive proposals relevant to their chosen field. The internal selection process was rigorous, considering aspects of innovation, program usefulness, and feasibility of implementation. The selection results were officially announced on April 2, 2026, marking the team’s success in passing the initial stage of the PKM competition.

HIMAPSIL’s success in qualifying three proposals in this internal selection is a strategic step toward advancing to the next stage. Furthermore, this achievement also reflects the students’ commitment to developing creative and solution-oriented ideas that are expected to make a tangible contribution to society and the advancement of science.
