
PSDIP Professors Featured as Invited Speakers during The 13th ICIST 2025 in Hang Zhou, China
The 13th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development in China, hosted by Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Science (ZAAS) has been successfully conducted from 30 October to 1 November 2025. There were five homebased Professors of PSDIP presented their scientific research paper in this annual conference. Professor Mohammad Chozin, Professor Zainal Muktamar, Professor Nanik Setyowati, Professor Fahrurrozi were assigned as invited speakers. Professor Mohammad Chozin presented paper entitled ‘Potential use of plant extracts as fungicides for controlling blast disease in rice’. Professor Zainal Muktamar shared his research entitled ‘A comparative analysis of carbon dioxide emissions across land uses in Bengkulu City, Indonesia’. In addition, Professor Nanik Setyowati presented her paper entitled ‘Increasing phosphorus uptake and sweet corn yield through Azolla pinnata compost and lime application in Ultisols’, while Professor Fahrurrozi share his research entitled ‘Organic biostimulant from Sargassum polycystum promotes vegetative growth and yield in sweet corn (Zea mays L.)’. Another homebased PSDIP Professor, Professor Catur Herison shared his recent project, entitled “Aluminum tolerance screening of cayenne pepper (Capsicum annuum L.) genotypes at the seedling stage under nutrient solution stress”.
The conference theme was ‘Soil, water and environmental conservation, biological diversity, food security/ safety and sustainable agriculture’ and attended by scientist from from Asia, Europe, Africa, and USA, with a total of 160 papers for presentation in 10 parallel sessions, and 9 Keynote speakers from 18 countries; Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Egypt, Finland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Japan, Laos, Philippines, Russia, Republic of Korea, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Vietnam and USA.
