The Public Doctoral Dissertation Defense of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, for Wismalinda Rita was held on Monday, January 12, 2026, at  9:00 WIB. The dissertation defense took place in the Main Meeting Room of the Dean’s Office, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, and was attended by approximately 50 invited guests, including family members of the promovenda and representatives from external institutions, predominantly lecturers and educational staff from Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu (UMB).

The dissertation defense was led by the Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, Prof. Dr. Ir. Suharyanto, S.Pt., M.Si., who also served as the Chair of the Board of Examiners. The Board of Examiners consisted of Prof. Ir. Fahrurrozi, M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Ir. Mohammad Chozin, M.Sc., Ph.D., Dr. Ir. Sumardi, MP, Prof. Ir. Dwatmadji, M.Sc., Ph.D., Prof. Dr. Ir. Yosi Fenita, MP, and Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustikawati, MS. The examination also involved an External Examiner, Dr. Ir. Ririn Harini, MP, who currently serves as Vice Rector for Academic Affair in  Universitas Muhammadiyah Bengkulu, providing an external academic perspective in the assessment process.

In this defense, the promovenda presented her dissertation entitled “Diversity and Stability of Morphological Characters and Nutrient Content of Marigold (Tagetes erecta) as Poultry Feed Additives.” The session began with an official opening by the Dean, continued with the dissertation presentation by the promovenda and a discussion session through questions and evaluations from the Board of Examiners. The examination was closed with speeches from Dr. Wismalinda Rita, who expressed her sincere gratitude after being declared to have successfully passed the examination. This was followed by remarks from the Chair of the Supervisory Committee, who briefly reflected on the guidance process since the early stages of the dissertation and shared hopes that the research would contribute positively to the development of knowledge and its application, particularly in the field of agriculture and animal feed innovation.
