Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science Holds Doctoral Research Progress Seminar I on the Potential of Local Microorganisms to Support Forage Production

The Doctoral Program in Agricultural Science, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, held the Doctoral Research Progress Seminar I on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at the Graduate Seminar Room, Faculty of Agriculture. This seminar is part of the academic requirements that doctoral students must complete as a stage of their study progress evaluation.

The seminar presented by Wismalinda Rita who delivered a presentation on the progress of her dissertation research titled “Diversity and Stability of Morphological Traits and Nutritional Content of Marigold (Tagetes erecta) as a Feed Additive for Poultry.” The presentation served as a means to assess the research development and to obtain academic feedback from the examiners.

The panel of examiners consisted of the supervisory committee and two external examiners: Prof. Ir. Mohammad Chozin, M.Sc., Ph.D.; Dr. Ir. Sumardi, M.P.; Prof. Ir. Dwatmadji, M.Sc., Ph.D.; Prof. Dr. Ir. Yosi Fenita, M.P.; and Prof. Dr. Ir. Rustikawati, M.S. Their role was to evaluate the student’s research progress and provide suggestions for improvement in methodology, analysis, and discussion of results.

The seminar ran smoothly, with active academic discussion between the doctoral student and the examiners. Constructive comments and recommendations were given to strengthen the research direction and to ensure that the study meets the standards of doctoral-level scientific work. Through this activity, the Faculty of Agriculture reaffirms its commitment to maintaining academic quality and supporting doctoral candidates in completing each stage of their study process successfully.
