Faculty of Agriculture Holds Doctoral Program Admission Socialization 2025

The Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, held a virtual socialization session for the 2025 Doctoral Program Admissions (PMB) on Friday, May 9, 2025, via Zoom Meeting. The event, which ran from 14.00 to 15.30 WIB, was attended by prospective doctoral students from various academic and professional backgrounds.

Presentations were delivered by the heads of each doctoral program:

  • Prof. Ir. Fahrurrozi, M.Sc., Ph.D., Head of the Doctoral Program in Agricultural Sciences
  • Prof. Dr. Ir. RR. Yudhy H. Bertham, M.P., Head of the Doctoral Program in Natural Resource Management

They introduced the structure, research concentrations, and academic requirements of each program. Both also highlighted the relevance of doctoral studies in addressing current challenges in agriculture and natural resource sustainability.

The Faculty currently offers two doctoral programs:

  • Doctor Agricultural Sciences (Plant Breeding, Crop Production Technology, Agricultural Resources, Agricultural Economics, Agribusiness Management, Animal Husbandry, Plant Protection)
  • Doctor Natural Resource Management (Tropical Forest Ecosystem Management, Coastal Ecosystem Management, with matriculation in Environmental Statistics and Resource Management)

This event was not only aimed at providing technical information, but also served as a platform to build academic interest and motivation among prospective students. It is hoped that the socialization will open broader access to doctoral education, strengthen academic networks, and inspire future researchers to contribute solutions to national and global agricultural issues.

Through this initiative, the Faculty of Agriculture envisions increasing enrollment of qualified candidates, fostering innovation-based research, and reinforcing the faculty’s role as a center of excellence in agriculture and environmental science. The faculty welcomes individuals with strong commitment and academic potential to take part in shaping the future of sustainable development.
