Professor Dr. Mohammad Chozin,  Delivered a Keynote Speechat the 13th ICIST 2025 in China

Professor Dr. Mohammad Chozin, a lecturer from the Doctoral Doctor Agricultural Sciences Study Program, University of Bengkulu, has been invited as one of the keynote speakers at the 13th International Conference on Integration of Science and Technology for Sustainable Development 2025 (13th ICIST 2025). The conference, themed “Soil, Water and Environmental Conservation, Biological Diversity, Food Security/Safety and Sustainable Agriculture”, was held fromOctober 30 to November 1, 2025, at the Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Science (ZAAS), Hangzhou, China. Professor Chozin presented his paper entitled “Crop Breeding for Organic Production”.

Other distinguished keynote speakers included Prof. Dr. Sheng-Yang He (Duke University, USA), Prof. Dr. Naweed Isaak Naqvi (Temasek Life Sciences Laboratory, Singapore), Prof. Dr. Tapio Juokslahti (University of Helsinki, Finland), Prof. Dr. Kampon Sriwatanakul (Mahidol University, Thailand), Prof. Dr. Ruilin Zhao (Chinese Academy of Sciences, China), Prof. Dr. Hiroyuki Konuma (GIAPSA, Japan), Dr. Shaikh Tanveer Hossain (IFOAM-ASIA, Bangladesh), and Prof. Dr. Fu-Cheng Lin (Zhejiang Academy of Agricultural Science, China).

Professor Chozin’s presentation was highly appreciated, as he emphasized the importance of developing crop varieties, including sweet corn, that are responsive to organic crop production practices. He also mentioned that, after ten years of dedicated work, organic sweet corn varieties are now in the process of being registered with the Indonesian Ministry of Agriculture.
