From Research to Impact: Prof. Marulak Simarmata Leads in Plant Breeding

Prof. Marulak Simarmata, Prof. Ir., MSc., PhD, is a Professor in the Doctoral Program of Natural and Environmental Resources Management, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu, specializing in plant breeding and agricultural biotechnology.
He teaches courses ranging from Environmental Policy, Research Methodology, Agricultural Biotechnology, to Weed Science, and supervises doctoral students in innovative research aimed at sustainable crop production, particularly in sorghum and rice in coastal areas.
Prof. Marulak is also actively engaged in research on the use of allelopathic extracts for weed control and has published extensively in internationally indexed journals, including Scopus, contributing significantly to the advancement of agricultural science and natural resource management.
