Identification Of The Potential Area Of Talang Sebaris Village Kec. Air Periukan Kab. Seluma
Bengkulu – In the process of community service activities, many parties are involved in activities to achieve goals. The parties involved in this program are the Department of Agricultural Socioeconomics of UNIB and the target community groups. The activity was attended by officials, village novice businessmen and administrators from BUMDES Talang Sebaris Village, Seluma (Sunday, October 23rd, 2022). Devotion is carried out in several stages, namely the first stage:
Counseling on identifying potential village
Increasing the power, strength, ability, and ability possessed by a village that has the possibility to be developed to improve the welfare of the community, it is important to determine the potential of the village. The potential of the village is all natural resources and human resources that are contained and stored in the village. Where all these resources can be utilized for the continuity and development of the village. In general, the purpose of developing village potential is to encourage the realization of the independence of the community through the Development of Superior Potential and Institutional Strengthening and Community Empowerment. The potential of the village can be explored and compiled by the local government through enrichment of extension results. This is done by participatory methods with village government officials who play an active role in compiling village potential. The preparation of village potential is carried out in the seven-span method.
The method of seven targeted villages. This method is widely used to group village potential based on 7 criteria to realize the independence and sustainability of businesses that will be established in rural areas.

Counseling on building business ideas for the development of BUMDES
BUMDES administrators and village novice entrepreneur, received counseling and training on business plans that will be carried out through the development of BUMDES. Lecturers tried to motivate BUMDES administrators and village novice entrepreneur that finding business ideas in rural areas is not difficult, can be done by anyone, but ideas must be interesting, precise, have prospects, and can last long enough. However, there are several obstacles to implementing a business idea that must be considered, namely limited market opportunities, insufficient human resources, and a team that is not ready to execute. Therefore, the information must be sought for the availability and price of raw materials, the number of products to be made / produced, making commitments with buyers where commitments cannot be changed, and it must be noted that buyers will only buy if the goods are as an example.
To set business goals, human beings are basically creatures that pursue comfort and happiness. Therefore, business goals: the business must be smooth, have a big profit, can export, can promote, and have many employees. Examples of business models that can be done based on the potential of the village are “picking citrus fruits”, dragon fruit, or agrotourism development businesses based on community empowerment.
