The community service activity attended by 33 members of the Women Farmers Group (KWT) Dusun Baru II aims to improve the knowledge of farmer group members about the theory and practice of organizing, skills that must be mastered, and attitudes that must be possessed by someone to run an organization well. The community service material is delivered through a face-to-face learning method. The community service material focuses on Organizational Management with the KSA Model Approach (Knowledge, Skill, and Attitude).

The community service activity began with an opening by the head of the Community Service team and a speech by the Head of KWT, Mrs. Yani. The Head of KWT warmly welcomed and appreciated that the community service activities carried out by the University of Bengkulu were very important. The activity was considered important and became one of the efforts to empower the community. The Head of KWT also wanted this activity to be carried out periodically, considering the lack of knowledge of farmers, especially female farmers, regarding organizational management.

After the opening, the participants were asked to fill out the initial questionnaire (pre-test). This stage was carried out to understand the level of knowledge of the KWT Dusun Baru II members about the theory and practice of organizing before the counseling was given. After that, the activity continued with the extension of organizational management training materials by the community service activity implementation team. During the activity, participants appeared enthusiastic in following the counseling delivered by the speaker. This shows that the material for this activity attracted the participants’ attention. In addition, enthusiasm was also shown by the rise of questions from the participants during the material delivery session. After the counseling was completed, the community service team distributed questionnaires again for participants to fill out. The final questionnaire (post-test) was given to assess the level of the participant’s knowledge about the theory and practice, skills, and attitudes of organizing after listening to the material from the resource person. The community service activity ended with a group photo session between the implementation team and the community service activity participants.

Community service activities are one of the manifestations of the Tri Dharma of Higher Education. This academic community responsibility is then implemented in knowledge and technology transfer. Through this service activity, members of the Dusun Baru II Women Farmers Group are expected to be able to run the organization better in the future. (AA)
