UNIB Agricultural Industrial Technology Lecturer Receives DPPM and Downstream Funding 2026, Strengthening Downstream Agroindustry Innovation

The Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu has again made proud achievements at the national level. Three teams of lecturers have successfully secured funding in the 2026 DPPM and Downstream Research and Development Funding Program, a strategic program that focuses on strengthening innovation and downstreaming research results.

The lecturers and teams who managed to obtain the funding include:

  1. Dr. Ir. Yuwana, M.Sc. and team, through the Type 1 Technology Push Prototype scheme
  2. Selly Ratna Sari, S.Pi., M.Si. and team, through the Community Empowerment by Students program
  3. Ulfah Anis, S.T.P., M.Sc. and team, through the Community Partnership Empowerment program

This achievement is a strong indicator of the improvement of the quality of research and community service carried out by the academic community, especially in the field of agricultural industry technology that is oriented towards real solutions.

DPPM and Downstream funding is known as one of the competitive schemes that encourages the transformation of research results into applicable and value-added innovations. Therefore, this success not only reflects academic excellence, but also the readiness of lecturers in answering the needs of society and industry.

In its implementation, each funded program is expected to be able to produce outputs that have a direct impact, both in the form of appropriate technology, community empowerment models, and strengthening research-based partnerships. This is in line with the direction of higher education policy which emphasizes the importance of downstreaming and sustainability of innovation.

The Study Program said that this success will be a momentum to expand cross-sector collaboration, as well as strengthen the role of universities as centers for the development of science and technology that are adaptive to the challenges of the times.

In addition, the research and service activities carried out are also expected to be able to make a real contribution to the development of the agricultural and agro-industrial sectors, especially in the Bengkulu area and its surroundings.

With this achievement, the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program of the University of Bengkulu further affirms its position as an academic institution that not only excels in the development of knowledge, but is also active in creating innovations that are beneficial to the wider community.
