Lecturer of Agricultural Technology Department Utilizes Coffee Skin as Organic Compost

On Saturday, May 4, 2024, community service activities were carried out in the form of socialization and education on making coffee-skin-based organic compost in Babakan Bogor Village, Kabawetan District, Kepahiang Regency, Bengkulu Province. This activity was attended by village officials and also residents of Babakan Bogor village who mostly work as coffee farmers.

Community Service on making organic compost based on coffee skin is chaired by Ir. Lukman Hidayat, MP. with team members, Drs. Bosman Sidebang, MP. and Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc. 

In the activities carried out, Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc. delivered material about making and the benefits of compost made from coffee skins. Furthermore, Ir. Lukman Hidayat, MP. Practice how to make compost from coffee skins simply through pictures and examples in front of activity participants. At the end of the activity, the processed fertilizer that had been prepared and brought from Bengkulu University was handed over to the village through the Head of Babakan Bogor village.
