The Study Program of Fisheries Science reached a major organizational milestone on Sunday, November 2, 2025, with the successful staging of the Student Work Conference (Musyawarah Kerja Mahasiswa).

The strategic gathering served as the foundational step toward establishing the Fisheries Science Student Association (Himpunan Mahasiswa Sains Perikanan / HIMA Sains Perikanan). Key highlights of the conference included the election of the inaugural Chairman of HIMA Sains Perikanan and preliminary discussions on the organization’s Statutes and Bylaws (Anggaran Dasar dan Anggaran Rumah Tangga – AD/ART).

Designed as an inclusive platform for dialogue, the conference brought students together to exchange ideas, align their vision, and lay down a solid organizational foundation built by students, for students.

With the leadership team being established and core structural governance underway, the Department of Fisheries Science student body takes a decisive step forward in building a unified, growth-oriented student association.
