BENGKULU—In a significant step toward expanding its global academic footprint, the Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB), has officially signed a strategic international cooperation agreement with Universiti Malaysia Terengganu (UMT). This partnership is designed to foster cross-border academic excellence, joint research initiatives, and institutional development between the two prominent Southeast Asian universities.

As a concrete follow-up to this university-level alliance, the Fisheries Science Study Program (Program Studi Sains Perikanan – PSSP) at UNIB took a decisive role by signing an Implementation of Arrangement (IA). This specific agreement solidifies their active commitment to internationalizing higher education, particularly in the marine and fisheries sectors.

The IA serves as the foundational framework supporting various collaborative activities between the two institutions. This includes the successful execution of the joint public lecture (Kuliah Umum) hosted recently on May 28, 2025, which brought together regional expertise to enrich the perspective of students and faculty alike.
