BENGKULU – The Marine Science and Fisheries Science Study Programs at the University of Bengkulu successfully hosted a joint Guest Lecture (Kuliah Umum) focused on the crucial topic: “The Role of the Marine and Fisheries Product Quality Control and Supervision Agency (BPPMHKP) as Quality Assurance for Marine and Fishery Products.”

This event was held as part of the “KKP Goes to Campus” roadshow, celebrating the 26th Anniversary Month of the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries of the Republic of Indonesia. Organized by BPPMHKP, this initiative serves as a tangible contribution to sharing specialized knowledge and practical field experience with the academic community.

The prestigious event was attended by high-level officials and academic leaders, including:

• Mr. Kukuh Andias Purbianto, S.Pi. (Acting Head of BPPMHKP)

• Mr. Aan Fibro Widodo, S.Si., M.Ling. and Mr. Jonis Setiawan, S.Pi. (Keynote Speakers)

• Dr. Yar Johan, S.Pi., M.Si. (Head of the Fisheries Laboratory, Faculty of Agriculture)

• Prof. Heri Dwi Putranto, S.Pt., M.Sc., Ph.D. (Acting Dean of the Faculty of Agriculture)

The guest lecture was officially opened by the Vice Rector for Student and Alumni Affairs of the University of Bengkulu, Prof. Agustin Zarkani, S.P., M.Si., Ph.D.

Students from both the Marine Science and Fisheries Science study programs participated in the session with great enthusiasm. Through this lecture, attendees gained valuable insights into the strategic role of BPPMHKP in maintaining the quality, safety, and global competitiveness of Indonesian marine and fishery products on both national and international stages.
