PKM 2026 Writing Workshop Enhances Students Academic Skills

The Department of Soil Science, Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu (FAPERTA UNIB), in collaboration with the Soil Science Student Association (HIMITA UNIB), successfully held a PKM 2026 Writing Workshop on Saturday, January 31, 2026. The workshop was organized to enhance students’ understanding and skills in writing high-quality and competitive Program Kreativitas Mahasiswa (PKM) proposals.
The workshop featured Mrs. Selly Ratna Sari, a lecturer from the Department of Agro-Industrial Technology (TIP), Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, as the keynote speaker. During the session, she delivered comprehensive material covering the fundamental concepts of PKM, various PKM schemes, proposal writing structure, as well as practical tips and strategies to improve the success rate of PKM proposal submissions.
The event was also attended by the Vice Dean for Student Affairs (Vice Dean III) of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, Hesti Pujiwati, S.P., M.Si., whose presence reflected strong institutional support for student academic creativity and development.
This activity was further supported through academic mentoring under Professional Development, Sub-field of Education and Training, guided by Iffah Izzatuddinillah, S.P., M.Si. Her role contributed significantly to strengthening the educational and training aspects of the workshop.
The workshop was attended by Soil Science students of the Faculty of Agriculture, Universitas Bengkulu, who demonstrated high enthusiasm throughout the program. Participants actively took part in discussions and question-and-answer sessions, particularly regarding challenges commonly encountered in PKM proposal writing.
As a follow-up to this workshop, it is expected that continuous PKM writing mentoring will be carried out by a team of lecturers, namely:

- Kartika Utama, S.P., M.Sc.
- Iffah Izzatuddinillah, S.P., M.Si.
- Riesca Wulanda Citra, S.P., M.Sc.
- Sendi Puspa Sari, S.P., M.Sc.
Through this sustained mentoring program, students are expected to further develop their proposal writing skills and be better prepared to compete successfully in PKM 2026, producing innovative and impactful works that contribute to scientific advancement and community development.
