Training to Face the World of Work for Students of the Animal Husbandry Study Program

The Department of Animal Husbandry held a Training event to enter the world of work with the theme “Training to Face the World of Work for Students of the Animal Husbandry Study Program” which was held on Tuesday, June 14, 2022 at The Study Building I, Bengkulu University.

The event was attended and opened directly by the Deputy Dean for Academic Affairs Yansen, S.hut. M.Sc., Ph.D, Head of Department Dr. Suharyanto, S.Pt., M.Si, Head of Study Program Ir. Edi Soetrisno, M.Sc, lecturers, and students of the Department of Animal Husbandry.

The speakers who were present at the event were Mr. Putra Karyadi, S.Pt from the Technical Assistant Staff of PT. Putra Karyadi. SMS and Mr. Jhon Firison, S.Pt., M.Ling from BRIN Researchers. He is an alumnus of the department of animal husbandry, Bengkulu University.

According to Mr. Jhon Firison, S.Pt., M.Ling, one of the aspects that students need to prepare before facing a job is personal branding because many alumni do not have the courage to show their abilities directly because of weak personal branding, so often alumni lose to compete with alumni of other universities during the job selection process. Therefore, students need to practice to improve personal branding, so that they are successful in penetrating the world of work.

According to Mr. Putra Karyadi, S.Pt, this training aims to provide students who are approaching graduation, to be better prepared to enter the world of work. A number of materials were delivered by the speakers to improve skills and readiness to enter the world of work. It is hoped that livestock graduates can excel in the world of work and be able to innovate in the world of work.
