Students of the Agricultural Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu have again made proud achievements in the non-academic field. Devin Januar Saputra, a student of the class of 2023, won 2nd place in the Men’s Sparring, Adult Men’s Sparring Class F (Pool) category in the 4th International Indonesia Open Pencak Silat Championship 2026 which was held on September 14-21, 2026 at the Indonesian Pencak Silat Stadium, Jakarta.

The championship was an international pencak silat competition which was attended by around 3,256 to more than 3,500 participants from around 200 contingents. Participants came from 38 provinces in Indonesia as well as a number of friendly countries, including Malaysia, Spain, and the Netherlands. With a wide scope of participants and competition between contingents from various regions and countries, Devin’s success in winning second place is a proud achievement for the University of Bengkulu, especially the Department of Agricultural Technology.

In the match in the Adult Men’s Sparring Class F (Pool) category, Devin was able to show his ability and toughness to succeed in occupying the runner-up position. This achievement is proof that students of the Department of Agricultural Technology are not only able to develop competencies in the academic field, but also have the opportunity to excel through sports and non-academic activities.

Devin Januar Saputra’s achievements are also a motivation for other students to continue to develop their potential, interests, and talents. Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu expressed his appreciation for the achievements that have been achieved and hoped that these achievements can continue to develop and become an inspiration for other students to excel at the regional, national, and international levels.
