The Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu through the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program (TIP) held the TIP Alumni Sharing Series 1 with the theme “Global Alumni Footprint: Opportunities, Preparation, and Experience for S2 Study Scholarships at Hunan University, China”. This activity is a space to share alumni experiences with students regarding opportunities to continue their education to the master’s level abroad, especially through scholarships.

The activity, which was held online through a Zoom Meeting on Saturday, September 12, 2026, presented Leandra Faraneda, S.T.P., an alumnus of PS TIP class of 2020 who is currently pursuing a Master’s Student in Industrial Engineering & Management at Hunan University, China. Leandra’s presence provides an opportunity for students to obtain information directly from alumni who are undergoing master’s studies abroad.

In the sharing session, Leandra shared her experience and information about opportunities to continue her studies abroad, preparation for S2 studies, the process of obtaining scholarships, and the experience of undergoing lectures at Hunan University, China. In addition, students also get an overview of various things that need to be prepared from the lecture period to increase their readiness to continue their education to a higher level.

The experiences conveyed by alumni also provide insight to TIP students about the importance of building academic readiness, finding information on study programs and scholarships, and preparing themselves to face the selection process. The discussion and question and answer sessions also provide space for students to dig deeper into information based on the direct experience of the speakers.

Through the TIP Alumni Sharing Series, the Department of Agricultural Technology of the University of Bengkulu seeks to strengthen the relationship between alumni and students as well as open a space to share educational experiences and career development. This activity is expected to expand the horizons of TIP students regarding further study opportunities and provide inspiration in preparing for future academic and professional steps.
