The Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu through the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program (TIP) held the TIP Alumni Sharing Series 2 with the theme “Getting to Know the World of Work, Competencies, and the Application of TIP Knowledge in the Food and Beverage Industry”. The activity, which was held on Tuesday, September 15, 2026 online through Zoom Meeting, became a forum for students to gain insight into the world of work and the application of TIP science based on the direct experience of alumni.

The activity presented Alif Abdussalam Mahfudz Anwar, S.T., an alumnus of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program class of 2014 who is currently working as Section Head of PT Torabika Eka Semesta (Mayora Group). In this activity, Alif shared his experience about the process of entering the world of work, the journey of developing a career, and the competencies needed to be able to adapt and develop in the food and beverage industry. The alumni experience provides students with a real picture of the work environment that can be one of the career development fields of TIP graduates.

In the sharing session, the discussion also included the application of Agricultural Industrial Technology science in the industrial world, the competencies needed by TIP graduates, and career descriptions of TIP graduates in the food and beverage sector. The resource persons also shared tips and experiences in building professional careers, so that students can understand the importance of preparing competencies from the lecture period. This activity also provides opportunities for students to discuss and explore information directly based on the experience of the resource persons.

TIP Alumni Sharing Series 2 was attended by students of the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, especially students who took their Thesis. Through this activity, the Department of Agricultural Technology of the University of Bengkulu continues to encourage the connection between learning in higher education and the needs of the world of work through sharing experiences with alumni. The activity is expected to broaden students’ horizons about career opportunities and help prepare relevant competencies to enter the professional world after completing their education in the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program.
