Preparing Students to Face the Industrial World, UNIB Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program Holds Impactful Internship Debriefing

The Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Department of Agricultural Technology, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu carried out an Impact Internship Debriefing activity on Monday, May 25, 2026 in Room 11 of the Joint Lecture Building I, University of Bengkulu. This activity was attended by 101 students who will carry out internship programs in various agro-industrial companies inside and outside Bengkulu Province.

The activity began with an opening by the Head of the Department of Agricultural Technology, Dr. Yessy Rosalina, S.T.P., M.Si.. In his remarks, he said that the internship program is an important means for students to gain direct experience in the industrial world while improving competence and work readiness.

Furthermore, an introduction to Impact Internship activities was delivered by the Coordinator of Impact Internship Activities, Drs. Syafnil, M.Si.. In his presentation, it was explained about the objectives, mechanisms, and things that students need to prepare during internship activities at partner companies.

The debriefing activity was also filled with a number of supporting materials aimed at increasing student readiness before entering the field. The material for the preparation of the group report was delivered by Firmansyah, S.T., M.Sc., while the material for the preparation of individual reports was delivered by Sri Wulandari, S.TP., M.Sc.. In addition, material related to Occupational Safety and Health (K3) was delivered by Fitri Yuwita S, S.TP., MP. as an important provision for students in carrying out activities in the industrial environment. Through this activity, students are expected to understand work ethics, reporting procedures, and the application of K3 during the internship. The briefing is also the first step to build students’ readiness to face the professional world of work, especially in the agro-industrial sector.

Students participating in the Impact Internship will carry out internships for three months at various agro-industrial companies, including PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari Lubuk Banyau North Bengkulu Regency, PT. Sandabi Indah Lestari, Bukit Indah Village, North Bengkulu Regency, PT. Agromuko Palm Oil Mill Mukomuko Regency, PT. Bunga Tanjung POM Mukomuko Regency, PT. Bio Nusantara Teknologi Central Bengkulu Regency, PT. Guthrie Pecconina Indonesia Musi Banyuasin Regency, South Sumatra, PT. Gajah Sakti Sawit Mukomuko Regency, PT. Mukomuko Indah Lestari Mukomuko Regency, PT. Mitra Puding Mas North Bengkulu Regency, PT. Agricinal of North Bengkulu Regency, PT. Karya Sawitindo Mas Mukomuko Regency, PT. Sapta Sentosa Jaya Abadi Mukomuko Regency, PT. Mitra Kerinci West Sumatra, PT. Nusantara Plantation I Regional VII Pagar Alam, PT. SBS (Sinar Bengkulu Selatan) South Bengkulu Regency, PT. Sarana Mandiri Mukti Kepahiang Regency, PTPN Regional 4, PT. Sawit Mulia North Bengkulu Regency, and PT. Alno Agro Utama Sumindo Oil Mill, North Bengkulu Regency.

Through this Impact Internship program, the Agricultural Industrial Technology Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu continues to be committed to improving student competencies through direct learning experiences in the industrial world and strengthening partnership relationships with various agro-industrial companies.
