Five forestry students of FP UNIB will participate in the PMM 2023 program, Kemendikbudristek.

BENGKULU – Five students from the Forestry Study Program, Faculty of Agriculture, University of Bengkulu (UNIB) made brilliant achievements after successfully passing the 2023 Independent Student Exchange program. Their success is a pride for the UNIB Forestry Department.

This program initiated by the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbudristek), the five students can study and develop themselves at forestry universities. The Merdeka Student Exchange Program aims to gain experience studying at universities in Indonesia while at the same time strengthening unity in diversity.

The five students are Surya Mardiana, Sahwiyadi, Arif Rachman Hakim, Rozalina Dwi Pitri, and Aiysah Pitri. All of them are students of the class of 2021. For the next semester, Surya Mardiana will study at IPB University, Sahwiyadi, and Aisyah Pitri will study at Sam Ratulangi University Manado, Arif Rachman Hakim, and Rozalina Dwi Pitri will study at Khairun University, Ternate.

Head of the UNIB Forestry Department, Ir. Edi Suharto, MP, expressed his pride in the achievements of the five students. He hopes that the experience they will get at other campuses can be applied and become valuable capital in efforts to manage forests in Indonesia. With the passing of the five UNIB forestry students in the 2023 Independent Student Exchange program, this achievement can trigger enthusiasm and motivation for other students to continue to excel, develop themselves, and open the broadest possible network.
