
Forestry Student Activities: Socialization of the Hima Sylva PSDA Interest Group
Bengkulu: On March 16, 2024, the Management of HIMA Sylva PCSI UNIB, who implemented PSDA carried out specialization outreach activities, which These specialization activities consist of technology specializations and conservation specializations. This event took place at the Forestry Department and was attended by members of HIMA Sylva PCSI UNIB.
This activity aims to invite and provide information to all HIMA Sylva members who can take part in the entire series of activities held by the PSDA sector. Apart from this, it is hoped that this activity can actively contribute to developing the abilities and soft skills possessed by each member. Activities take place indoors and also outdoors. The first is the head of PSDA provides an opening and introduction to the concept of specialization activities of PSDA and explains the entire series of activities provided by the PSDA sector.
Then, it was continued by the person responsible for the technology and conservation specialization, who explained concepts related to this specialization and also explained what types of activities there are that will be held in the technology and conservation specialization. Then, it was continued with outdoor activities, which were all in this session. Members are given an overview of the field regarding the specialization activities that will be held. Such as drone flights for theodolite enforcement and also animal recognition, for example turtles and pythons.
This specialization outreach activity equips all members of HIMA Sylva PCSI UNIB; PSDA provides guidance and a learning platform aimed at all members of HIMA Sylva PCSI UNIB in an effort to develop member resources to become more active. This activity is expected to equip all members with the knowledge and skills needed for the future.
